DESCRIPTION:
Welch, Spring, & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Round Head Drop" wall hanging clock with a spring driven 8 day time and strike movement with a painted dial reading "Henry Lee / Boxxon" in a rosewood case.
CONDITION:
The case is in very good condition with original finish and graining on the bezel. The hands are original. The movement is signed. The dial glass and the lower tablet are original. The painted dial has some restoration including strengthening of the numerals. The dial winding holes have been slightly enlarged, perhaps to accommodate the slight shifting of the movement when the top mounting block was moved.
